Rain radar & Weather radar Precipitation radar for Germany: Live, forecast and precip. type, map zooming Know when and where it is raining in Germany (and much more!) The app Wetterradar provides visualization of precipitation radar images and other features for the area of Germany. The app covers Germany and parts of its neighboring countries. Radar types - Precipitation radar live + 2 hours forecast (reflectivity) - Precipitation type radar (e.g. light rain, hail, snow, ...) - Precipitation summed (5 minutes) + 2 hours forecast (litres per hour) - Precipitation summed 1-hourly and 24-hourly (litres per hour) - Display of possible thunderstorms (mesocyclones) in all radar layers Snow situation - Snow height (measured/calculated) (every 24h/every hour) - Water equivalent of snow (measured/calculated) (every 24h/every hour) - Precipitation availability (every hour) Weather forecasts (numerical, up to 5 days) - Significant and non-significant weather (e.g. drizzle, snow, sun, ...) - Temperature - Cloud cover (total, low, middle, high) - Precipitation (reflectivity) Further features - Push notifications in case of forecasted precipitation for the current location - Free zoomable and moveable map providing detailed insights in arbitrary locations - Search for places (e.g. cities) - Favorite system (save map positions, push notifications in case of forecast precipitation) (€) - Multiple map styles (normal, hybrid, satellite) (€) - Dark theme (€) Precipitation radar live + 2 hours forecast With the live radar it is possible to visualize the current precipitations within the map. Furthermore, a two-hours forecast is provided helping to estimate the future development of precipitation. The live radar + forecast is updated every five minutes. The colors signalize the strength of reflectivity (higher reflectivity = more precipitation). Precipitation type radar The type radar provides data regarding the precipitation type 2m above ground. The colors signalize for example rain, hail and drizzling. It is updated every five minutes. Precipitation summed 5 minutes + 2 hours forecast This visualization provides information about the amount of precipitation within five minutes plus a forecast for the next two hours. The colors signalize the amount of precipitation in litres per hour. This visualization is updated every five minutes. Precipitation summed 1-hourly/24-hourly Similar to the summed precipitation per 5 minutes the amount of precipitation is summed and visualized over a longer duration. Snow situation With the help of the layers in the snow situation category the current snow situation can be estimated precisely for each location. Available are e.g. the measured and calcuated snow height and the snow water equivalent. Weather forecasts The layers regarding weather forecasts offer long-time foreacasts for up to 5 days for the weather situation (sun, rain, ...), temperature, cloud cover and precipitation intensity (reflectivity). About weather forecasts It is not possible to forecast the weather exactly. Thus, all forecasts provided in this app are distinct from the actual weather development. Also, measured values might be slightly distorted or reduced in resolution due to data processing. About in-app purchases All basic features of the app are free. There are in-app purchases for an ad-free version and a premium version including additional features marked with an (€).
