This can be done on paper, but it can also be this app, because article 1.11 in the inland navigation police regulations states: "A copy that can be consulted at any time via electronic means is also allowed." PLEASE NOTE: Large ships without crew accommodation and small open ships are excluded from this obligation. But of course it remains useful (and sensible!) to know and check the rules on the water.
