How it works 1. Install Geofin on parent and child devices. 2. Create your family group and link with a secure code. 3. Grant permissions and enable alerts—done. Permissions we request & why • Location (Precise & Background) — Live GPS, routes, geofence alerts. Background location ensures monitoring even when the app is not in the foreground. • Notification Access — Notification titles only, not message content. • Accessibility Service — This app uses the AccessibilityService API. Required on Android 14+ to enable parental monitoring features (live audio and camera) to run in the background. The AccessibilityService API does not read screen content, does not perform gestures, does not interact with other apps, and collects no personal data. Enabled only with explicit parental consent via prominent in-app disclosure. Can be disabled anytime in Settings. • Microphone — Live sound check and voice SOS, only on parental request. • Camera — Live camera viewing, only on parental request. • Run at Startup / Battery Exemption — Reliable monitoring after restart.
